About D & T

  • Protection Planning for your Children

One of our biggest goals at D & T is to make sure that our clients’ families are taken care of, no matter what life throws at them. Creating a plan for your children can ensure that they will never be put into the care of strangers. With a proper protection planning in place for your children, you can ensure that your children will be cared for by the people you choose.

  • Protection Planning for your Assets

What you leave behind can help your loved ones build their future. At D & T, we can create a smooth transition that will avoid the cost and stress of probate, and effectuate your wishes, so that your loved ones won’t be left in conflict. We can tailor estate plans to include asset protection so that your gifts will be safe from creditors, judgments, and more.

  • Keeping up with Life's Changes

Your estate plan should evolve as your family grows and your assets and plans change. Worrying about your bill should never hold you back from keeping your plan up-to-date. We do not bill by the hour, and in every plan, we include a complimentary plan review every three years. This way, your estate plan can continue to achieve your goals, year after year.

Meet Katie

I have seen families face the expense and stress of litigation when they find themselves unprepared for a loved one’s incapacity or death. During those difficult transitions, conflict can often arise, even in the closest-knit families. I have made it my mission to help clients who want to leave behind a legacy of more than just financial and physical assets, but of their wisdom and love for their family members as well.

At Dignity & Trust Law, PLLC, I help clients prepare a plan that makes for a smooth transition from their hands to their loved ones’ hands. The greatest gift a person can give their loved ones is one that helps them avoid the heartache, mess, and stress of ending up in court for incapacity hearings, probate, and resolution of familial conflict.

Katie had the privilege of growing up in Central Florida amongst her loving parents, sister, grandparents, and extended family. She moved to Gainesville as a college freshman to attend the University of Florida. It is there that she earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Philosophy in 2011, a Juris Doctor Degree with honors in 2016, and a Master of Laws in Taxation in 2017.

Katie is a people person, an avid hiker, and a coffee enthusiast. She loves the counselor role of being an attorney, which allows her to get to know her clients and tailor solutions to meet their estate planning needs. In her spare time, Katie loves meeting new people, attending Catholic mass, making homemade cappuccinos, and traveling to the mountains with her husband, Glen, and their three children.
